Did Bollywood do Injustice to Akshaye Khanna?

A man who has an average look and hair almost bald doesn't seem to go with an action-packed movie. Neither as a lover boy. Bollywood has given enough run to the maestro Akshaye Khanna. But still as a cinema lover and devotee of Bollywood, sometimes I get a shocker whenever I think how fine actor Akhshaye Khanna has been unnoticed.

If we reach out to the 90s and early 20s producers and ask why brilliant actor Akhshaye Khanna has not gotten that kind of film or opportunity to become a superstar? Despite having immense talent? I guess the answer would always be the same. They would say Akhshaye Khanna had not that type of look so that we can put our money on him as a chocolate boy. Most importantly, they would say the hype that an actor‘s movie was supposed to get, Akhshay’s had not. It was a major sign that most of the producers didn't give him the breakthrough or did not choose to invest in him. But is it all? Deep down we all know how Bollywood did injustice, unnoticed such immense talent. Supremely talented actors like Akshaye Khanna are a blessing to the industry and they don't bother why Bollywood didn't recognize their talent they only focus on improving. It's unapologetic and true that it's a huge loss for the industry itself if actors like magnificent Akshay Khanna were ignored.
 

As things stand now, Akshaye Khanna is a senior actor who will mostly do a supporting character or villain role. But as fans are we happy to see him in such characters? The answer will always be a big yes. Cause, watching such a tremendously beautiful actor's craft on screen gives sheer joy to the audience. But, still regrets and is remorseful for the matter that he had to take a hiatus from the industry. And that long hiatus made us believe at one point in time that he has hidden for a lifetime. Luckily, he made a comeback with his strong performance with Dishoom. Later on, he did marvelous films such as Ittefaq, section 375, etc. And many more under his kitty. Irrefutably, no one would deny that he is one of the underrated and underappreciated actors in Bollywood. He had GREAT potential to become a star who can deliver a successful commercial film. But, destiny has its plans. Things didn't fall into his place as audiences we wanted. But, still, a long way to go Akshaye Khanna. You have been tremendous and an out-and-out showstopper. Wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
